Palli Alok Pathagar (PAP) was established in 1959 by some like minded educationist with a idea for educating local community as a library.1000 books are collected and started the library.
In the year 1996 it was registered under Societies Registration Act of 1860 in the year 1979-80 and under the Foreign Contribution (Regulation) Act of 1976 in the year 1996. Evolving of PAP has a very interesting story .It was running in a difficult condition only with the membership fees ,A cultural troop was started with the local members and earned some money by performing cultural programme nearby and the money spend for Development of village environment, Family Planning Campaign, Plantation in village forest
etc. In 1964 PAP promoted a Middle English School and secondary School in 1966 at Nagaon (B) to provide higher education facilities to the children of rural area. And now both the school are taken by the Govt. and running successfully. In the year 1994 -1996 PAP launched a “CONDENSED COURSE EDUCATION” Program for educating local adolescent girls with the support of State Social Welfare Advisory Board, Govt. of Odisha by which for the first time 25 girls completed 7th standard.On the other hand the cultural troop was engaged by district administration on District level Environment Building phase on TLC through her one act play “SUNBO CHELA KENTA MAJA” for covering all the blocks of the district.

The vision of Palli Alok Pathagar is to build up a self sufficient society where everyone including all marginalized sections is exercising a life with dignity.
Mission
Palli Alok Pathagar will work for up gradation of the livelihood level of vulnerable sections of people in localities through the provocation of required services, support and guidance for their knowledge and skill, building development samples for advocacy and its replication.
Objective
To establish a group of young men and women dedicated to the cause of harmonious and motivate them to undertake task for all round development and social justice by peaceful means.The main objective of the organization is to empower the people so that the whole development process becomes sustainable.
